Eating Disorder Recovery — Reconstructed
Wellness

The third piece in the BigSkyChef.com Wellness series. A reconstructed image — a deconstructed identity rebuilt through craft, community, and the slow work of learning to eat again.

Reconstructed. The third piece in the BigSkyChef.com Wellness series begins with deconstruction — the image taken apart and rebuilt, the way a person in recovery takes apart the stories they have told themselves about food and tries to build something truer in their place. This is not a comfortable process. Deconstruction rarely is. But the rebuilt image is clearer than the original — more honest about what it is and what it is trying to say. Thomas M. Miller has spoken publicly about his eating disorder as part of the BigSkyChef.com mission to bring honesty to the culinary profession. The Wellness series is not a program or a curriculum. It is a record — of what happened, what was lost, and what was slowly, imperfectly recovered. The kitchen is still the classroom. The lessons are still ongoing. BigSkyChef.com. Helena, Montana.
